近日，教育部发布《教育部办公厅关于公布2020年度国家级和省级一流本科专业建设点名单的通知》（教高厅函〔2021〕7号），我院申报的英语专业成功入选2020年度省级一流本科专业建设点。

近年来，学院高度重视英语专业内涵建设，持续深化教育教学改革，突出实践能力培养，深入开展教研融合，加大优质课程建设力度，优化教师队伍，全面提高教师教书育人能力。教师在省市校三级教改项目、教学成果奖、教学竞赛中取得了一系列成果。学生在各类学科竞赛、创新创业项目等方面也取得了令人瞩目的成绩。英语专业一志愿率、一专业率一直保持100%，毕业生就业率和就业质量逐步提高，人才培养质量得到了学校和用人单位的充分认可。

此次英语专业入选省级一流专业建设点，是继2012年成为校级重点扶持学科之后一次质的飞跃，是对英语专业建设和人才培养成效的肯定，也为下一步冲击国家级一流本科专业奠定了坚实基础。

English Department of CFL is Selected as Provincial First-class

Undergraduate Major Construction Site

In early 2021 , the Ministry of Education issuedThe Notice on Announcing the list of National and Provincial First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites of the year 2020(No.7 [2021] of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education)，and English Department of CFL has been selectedas the Provincial First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Site.

In recent years, the college has highly valued the quality construction of English discipline and the deep reform of education and teaching. In the construction of the discipline, the college has taken a series of measures to develop students’ practical ability, further integrate teaching and research, improve course quality, and strengthen teachers’ teaching ability. Through these efforts, fruitful results have been achieved.Teachers have earned prizes and awards in teaching reform projects, teaching achievements and teaching competitions in provincial, municipal or school-levels, and students have made achievements in various discipline competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship projects. 100% students enrolled with English department of CFL as their first choice. The employment rate and quality of graduates have gradually improved, and students training work has been fully recognized by the university and employers.

Being approved as the provincial first-class major construction siteis another leap forward after English became one of HAU’s key supporting discipline in 2012. It is a kind ofrecognition of the effort of English major construction and students training, and also lays a solid foundation for the approval of the national first-class undergraduate major site in the near future.(Trans.
