5月3日至9日,外国语学院举行2019级混合式教学实验班《大学英语四》线上无纸化期中考试。共有21个教学班1776名学生参加考试。本次考试秩序井然,有效检测了学生本阶段混合式教学的效果。
大学英语第一教学部对本次考试进行了周密部署,充分发挥Itest大学英语测试平台专业、安全、智能、高效的技术优势,题库建设、组卷、考试发布、监考、评分等环节实现了全程无纸化。Itest平台的“随机组卷”“考中人像抓取”“考中切屏提醒”等强大的防作弊功能切实保证了考试的公平性。
考试结束,教师根据Itest系统自动生成的成绩统计,对比本班学生与其他班级学生的成绩差异,分析试题难易指数以及难度分布,干扰项等数据。通过数据分析,既能直观地了解学生对各知识点的掌握程度,量化实际教学效果,又能实现教研结合,在改进教学方法提升教学质量的同时提升科研能力。
本次考试是大学英语线上线下混合教学改革的又一重大突破,使我们积累了丰富而宝贵的英语在线测评经验,在今后的教学改革中,学院将继续秉承“以测促学、以测促教”的理念,不断完善Itest智能测评云平台的考试、题库、监控与管理功能,通过不断创新英语测评流程和模式,形成具有校本特色的外语教学信息化建设和外语教学改革。
Midterm Online Paperless Exam for College English Held Successfully
From May 3 to 9, our college held the midterm online paperless exam of College English IV for online-offline blended teaching experiment classes in Grade 2019. Altogether 1,776 students from 21 teaching classes took the exam. Being in good order, the exam effectively tested the effect of blended teaching at this stage.
College English DepartmentⅠmade full preparations for this exam. From question bank construction, setting question, test paper release to proctoring and grading, all aspects of the exam were paperless, bringing Itest’s professionalism, safety, efficiency, and intelligence into full play. Meanwhile, the powerful anti-cheating techniques of Itest, such as "random set of papers", "in-exam portrait capture" and "in-exam screen toggle reminder", ensured the fairness of the exam.
After the exam, the teachers try to contrast the results of their students with those of other classes based on the statistics automatically generated by the Itest system, and what can be analyzed includes the difficulty index, difficulty distribution, and interference items. This will not only provide a visual indication of the extent to which students have mastered the language points and quantify the actual teaching effect, but also enable the integration of teaching and research, which helps the teachers improve research competence while modifying teaching methods and enhancing teaching quality.
This exam is a major breakthrough in the online-offline teaching reform of College English, which has enabled us to accumulate rich and valuable experience in online English assessment. In the future, adhering to the concept of "testing for learning, testing for teaching", Our college will continuously put into practice of the multi-functions of Itest intelligent assessment cloud platform, like testing, question bank construction and students’ learning behavior monitoring and management. By innovating the procedures and mode of English assessment, our college endeavors to build a model with our own characteristics in foreign language teaching information construction and foreign language teaching reform.(Trans.
