张小倩老师受邀在“U讲堂钉钉社区”主持专题活动

2021年3月8日“U讲堂钉钉社区”邀请我院张小倩副教授进行了混合式教学设计虚拟教研专题活动,通过课例分析、教师说课、同行教研等多样形式与U讲堂钉钉社区近700名一线教师在线交流想法、互动答疑。“外研社·U讲堂社区”是一个多元、开放、互动、发展的教师专业发展在线社区,旨在构建辐射全国的高校外语教师发展在线共同体,实现共同体成员的跨区域互助协同、整体发展。

在本次活动中,张老师首先分享了在《高校外语混合式教学设计案例库:教学设计篇》中的精听教学活动设计——文化与列举类标志词抓取。课例视频中,张老师以听力兴趣低、英语水平较低的学生为例,详细展示课前自学、课中测试、课后联系活动设计,并总结活动效果,明确注意事项,环环相扣,精彩纷呈。

在补充说课环节,张老师又以《新标准大学英语(第二版) 视听说教程2》的具体单元——College culture为例,在线与教师分享了在大班环境下进行线上线下混合式精听课程设计的实际效果和注意事项。

在最后的答疑互动环节,张老师对老师们在课例视频观看时非常感兴趣“三遍精听法”进行了详细的阐释,分享精听法的优势。同时也对一线教师关注并提出的的混合式教学下,大班教学如何确保课堂的参与性和效果行、如何兼顾评阅效率和质量、如何培养学生口语表达能力、如何将文化融入听力教学等等问题如何进行了一一答疑,结合自身教学经验,在线进行了深入交流,讨论热烈,备受好评。

Zhang Xiaoqian Presides over a thematic activity in Unipus of Dingtalk

On March 8, 2021, Zhang Xiaoqian, Associate Professor of CFL was invited by "Unipus of Dingtalk" to conduct a thematic activity about virtual teaching and research of Excellence in Blended Learning Design. She exchanged ideas and answered questions interactively with nearly 700 Unipus members who work in the front line through various forms, such as case lesson analysis, teacher lecture and peer teaching and research. The "Unipus" is a diversified, open, interactive and developing online community contribute to teachers' development. It aims at building a nationwide online community for the development of foreign language teachers in colleges, so as to realize cross-regional mutual assistance and development of community members.

Zhang first shared the design of intensive listening comprehension teaching in the instructional design chapter of the “case library of hybrid instructional design for foreign languages in Universities” -- the capture of cultural and enumerative words. As for the video of the case, she took an example of the students with low interest and proficiency in English listening to show the detailed design of pre-class self-study, in-class test and post-class exercise. Prof. Zhang finally gave an excellent summary about the effect of the activity and the required notions.

In the supplementary session, Zhang took--College Culture, a specific unit of "New standard college English, Real Communication, Listening and Speaking", as an example to share the actual effect and matters of online and offline mixed intensive listening course design in a large class environment with member teachers .

In the final session of Q&A, Zhang explained the detail and the advantages of "three times intensive listening method" that member teachers were very interested in. In addition, she also gave her own opinions about the following questions: how to guarantee students’ participation and teaching effect of a large class, how to keep high efficiency and quality of evaluation, how to cultivate students' verbal ability, how to integrate cultural background knowledge with listening comprehension teaching and so on. She earned a lot of praises in the course of an in-depth idea exchange and heated discussion on the basis of her own teaching experience.(Translated by Wu Rukai, MTI 2020)
