12月3日上午，河北农业大学外国语学院与留法勤工俭学纪念馆共建红色文化翻译实习基地、爱国主义教育基地签约暨揭牌仪式在留法纪念馆举行。学院党委书记胡俊祥、院长王浩勇、副书记彭海滨、团委书记刘永智，纪念馆馆长曾素梅、宣教部主任全媛媛等参加了本次签约仪式。

签约仪式上，外国语学院和留法纪念馆签订了共建协议书，学院党委书记胡俊祥与馆长曾素梅共同揭牌后大家合影留念。

随后，外国语学院领导一行参观了留法勤工俭学运动纪念馆。

在《留法勤工俭学运动史料陈列》展厅，大家认真聆听了百年前的留法勤工俭学运动始末，从中感受学习了老一辈无产阶级革命家在留法勤工俭学期间矢志报国、救亡图存的家国情怀与丰功伟绩；深刻领悟了早期共产党人对理想信念的选择与追求；进一步了解了留法勤工俭学运动对于马克思主义在中国的传播，中国共产党的创建和新中国的建立与发展，乃至中华民族的伟大复兴所具有的深远意义。

在谈到留法勤工俭学预备学校创办情况时，曾馆长饶有兴趣地介绍了直隶公立农业专门学校（河北农大前身）附设留法勤工俭学预备班情况，以及从这里赴法求学的海洋动物学家张玺、社会学家杨堃等知名专家学者的故事。

留法勤工俭学运动纪念馆，位于河北省保定市金台驿街原保定育德中学旧址，是一所历史专题类纪念馆。在李维汉、何长工等留法老前辈的建议与各级党政领导的关怀下，1983年2月，经中共中央书记处批准建馆，1992年6月中共中央总书记江泽民同志题写了馆名。现为全国重点文物保护单位、全国红色旅游经典景区、国家三级博物馆、河北省爱国主义教育基地和中国侨联爱国主义教育基地。

学院在留法勤工俭学纪念馆建立爱国主义教育基地，对于传承爱国主义精神，践行社会主义核心价值观，做好新时代大学生思想政治教育工作，以及外语课程思政建设，具有重大的理论价值和现实意义。

CFL Signs an Agreement with the Memorial Hall of the

Chinese Work-Study Program in France

On the morning of December 3, College of Foreign Language of HAU and the Memorial Hall of the Chinese Work-Study Program in Franceheld an opening ceremony and signed an agreement on the joint establishment of a red cultural translation practice base and a patriotism education base at the Memorial Hall. Among those attending the signing ceremony were Secretary of the College Party Committee Hu Junxiang, Dean Wang Haoyong, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee Peng Haibin, Secretary of Youth League Committee Liu Yongzhi, Memorial Hall Curator Zeng Sumei and Director of Publicity Department Quan Yuanyuan.

Hu Junxiang and Zeng Sumei signed the agreement and took a group photo with all the members after the opening ceremony.

Later, the leaders of CFL visited the Memorial Hall.

In the exhibition hall of Historical Materials of the Chinese Work-Study Program in France, the leaders listened carefully to the full story of the Movement, learned about patriotism and achievements of the first generation of proletarian revolutionaries who were determined to seek a way to save China when studying in France, and comprehended the Communists' choice and pursuit of ideals and convictions in the early time. They further understood the role of the Movement for the spread of Marxism in China, the establishment of the CPC and New China, and the profound significance of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

When talking about the establishment of preparatory school for studying in France, Curator Zeng introduced with great interest the preparatory class for studying in France offered by Zhili Public Agricultural College, the predecessor of HAU. She also told the story of the experts and scholars who studied in this class, such as Zhang Xi, a marine zoologist, and Yang Kun, a sociologist.

The Memorial Hall, a historical museum, was established on the site of former Baoding Yude Middle School, Jintaiyi Street. The construction of the Memorial Hall was approved by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in February 1983, and advised by predecessors, such as Li Weihan and He Changgong, and with the care of Party and government leaders at all levels. In June 1992, Comrade Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, wrote the name of the memorial hall. It is now an important heritage site under state protection, a national red tourism classic scenic spot, a national third-grade museum, a patriotism education base in Hebei Province, and a patriotism education base of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

The construction of the patriotism education base has great theoretical value and practical significance to our college. It will contribute greatly to inheriting patriotism, practicing core values of socialism, strengthening college students’ideological and political education in the new era, and improving the foreign language learning based ideological and political education.(Translated by Song Hongyang, MTI 2020)
