为使英语系大一新生对生活中的文化自我否定现象有更准确的认知，端正学生在英语学习过程中对中外文化差异的心态，5月16日下午英语系刘冀教授在学院报告厅举行“生活中充斥的文化自我否定现象及其剖析”主题讲座。

讲座吸引了英语系百余名大一新生前来听讲，学生们沉醉于刘冀老师渊博的知识及幽默风趣的讲解，全程保持着高亢的热情。刘冀老师以某一充斥外国文化的中国广告引出主题，从购物中的崇洋媚外现象、各种洋节盛行、穿着打扮西方化、某些APP上沾洋自贵等方面分析了生活中的各种文化自我否定现象。刘老师以中亚、东欧各国被欧美文化渗透的惨痛历史指明了文化自我否定现象的可怕后果，并且引用中华古代先贤名言，生动形象地向同学们解释了西方国家文化渗透的目的。

The  Second Lecture of “The Academic Month” in English Department Successfully Held

In order to enable the freshmen of the English Department to have a better  cognition of the phenomenon of cultural self-denial in life, on the afternoon  of May 16th , Professor Liu Ji from English Department delivered a  lecture on this topic in the Lecture Hall.

Nearly 100 freshmen  of English major were attracted to attend the lecture, and they were fascinated  with Professor Liu’s wisdom and humor. Ms. Liu introduced her topic with a  Chinese advertisement filled with foreign culture and analyzed various cultural  self-denial phenomena in daily life from the aspects of the worship of foreign  commercial production, foreign festivals, and dressing style etc. She pointed  out the dreadful consequences cultural self-denial may bring to a country with  the painful history of central Asian countries and eastern European countries  being penetrated by the western culture. Finally, the lecture ended with  quotations from ancient Chinese sages to expose the purpose of western culture  infiltration. （  作者：英语1801班田睿轩）
